Law of the Garbage Truck
Our Grandma sent this to us and I liked it........
One day I hopped in a taxi and we took off for the airport. We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us. My taxi driver slammed on his brakes, skidded, and missed the other car by just inches! The driver of the other car whipped his head around and started yelling at us. My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. And I mean, he was really friendly. So I asked, 'Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!' This is when my taxi driver taught me what I now call, 'The Law of the Garbage Truck.'He explained that many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment. As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it and sometimes they'll dump it on you. Don't take it personally.Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. Don't take their garbage and spread it to other people at work, at home, or on the streets. The bottom line is that successful people do not let garbage trucks take over their day. Life's too short to wake up in the morning with regrets,so...Love the people who treat you right. Pray for the ones who don't. Life is ten percent what you make it and ninety percent how you take it!
Have great, garbage-free day!

Cleaning Kids
I was at the doctors office reading a magazine and there was and article about kids cleaning.
There was a picture of a little girl with a sponge mop, handle probably cut to her size, and a squirt bottle.
She was going around the kitchen squiritng the visible dirty spots and then mopping them up.
I got all the stuff for my boys and they loved mopping the kitchen. My oldest boy even ended up doing the whole kitchen. He could even rinse the mop in the sink by himself. I was so proud!
Yea!

Celebrating Hope 2009
Yesterday was our daughter Hope's birthday. It has been 3 years since she has passed away. I always spend the week or two before her birthday crying on and off, and then the day of her birthday I am all cried out and am able to really enjoy the day.
The sun was shining so warmly again....just like last year.
We brought tulips to her grave, and this time planted them in a spot right behind her site, so we can see them every year.

We had cupcakes and took pictures.

This year I had a goal to finally update her scrapbook. A good buddy Jen Korth made it for us after she passed away. I cherish it- I have pages that display how small her hands and feet were and other precious memories. I have put a page in it every year we have celebrated her birthday.

Thanks Jen-It is such a great gift to have.
This year I would like to dedicate a song to Hope and all my children.
It is calledIf I Only Had Today- by Hilary Weeks
It seems like I’ve watched a million sunsets
And stared at a thousand full moons
Sometimes it feels like I’ve been here forever
And sometimes it all feels brand new
I could never count the heartbeats
From the day I was born until now
But not a single one goes unnoticed
By Him who breathes life in me somehow
But if there were no more tomorrows
If I knew that I could not stay
I know how I’d spend every moment
If I only had today
(chorus)
I’d hold you and listen
And I’d let the dishes sit in the sink
I’d tell you I loved you over and over
And for once I’d just let the phone ring
Then I’d remind you of forever
And how our love would never change
If I only had today
I’d wake up before the sun did
And I’d watch as you quietly sleep
I’d pray for time to move slowly
Knowing the moment won’t keep
All the gifts that Heaven has given
Every blessing that’s come my way
Wouldn’t mean anything without you
So if I only had today
(chorus)
I’d hold you and listen
And I’d let the dishes sit in the sink
I’d tell you I loved you over and over
And for once I’d just let the phone ring
Then I’d remind you of forever
And how our love would never change
If I only had today
There’s no time like the present
Life doesn’t come with any guarantees
The sun will set and time won’t wait
So while I have today
(chorus)
I’d hold you and listen
And I’d let the dishes sit in the sink
I’d tell you I loved you over and over
And for once I’d just let the phone ring
Then I’d remind you of forever
And how our love would never change
Because I have today

The Belly Buddies
This is my best friend Marie from Highschool and I.
This picture was taken at Christmas. We are both pregnant. Due 2 days apart from each other and we are both having girls. This is her 2nd baby and my 4th.
We wished we lived closer to each other so we could hang out.

This other pic is of Tate. His toy monkey has glasses just like him!
I just thought it was cute!

Wrinkle Update
Well I have loved the comments that gals have left on my previous post.
Some things that I have come up with.
One day I would love to try the Cindy Crawford skin care line.
She has a face wash that is gentle enough to use as an eye makeup remover at the same time. That would be my favorite. I like to get all the makeup off at once.
As for now I tried the Almay makeup remover pads. They had a buy one get one free at Rite-aid and I got the moisturizing (blue container) and the regular (purple container) The moisturizing was way too much for me, to greasy feeling, and got into my eyes. The purple one works great. After I use it I wash my face and get any extra residue off from around my eyes.
I have been using some different skin cleansers from Aveeno.
(I got the idea from Kendra)
SKIN BRIGHTENING DAILY SCRUB
and the
POSITIVELY RADIENT CLEANSER
I have really liked them, I use the scrub in the morning and the cleanser at night. I have even used it on my eyes after I use the Almay makeup remover pads...and it doesn't irratate my eyes.
I haven't found which wrinkle cream I would ultimately like to use.
I have used the Mary Kay kind and have liked it. So I will probably stick to that for now.
I did see one from Oil of Olay
that claims to be a eye makeup remover as well as be an anti aging product.
http://www.olay.com/boutique/regenerist/products/re1026
It is called
Regenerist Eye make-up Remover + Anti-wrinkle Treatment
http://www.thebest3.com/health-and-fitness/reviews/product.php?p=OilOfOlay&eng=google&type=search
This above link shows the best 3 anti wrinkle creams sold on line.
Anyway- that is what I have discovered so far, with the time I have put in to it.
Also in my last post- my sister gave some websites in her comments to look at.
So Happy Facial Care everyone- Good luck!
Let me know if anyone else has a magic product they like.
p.s. I tried to include pics from the internet of the Aveeno and Oil of Olay products but I guess I don't know how to do that. I am sure someone else does. If you do, please share. Thanks!

Do any of you use a wrinkle cream or eye cream ?
If so what is your favorite?
Also does anyone have a favorite eye makeup remover?

S"NO"W Way!
Well, our plans for Christmas were to fly to Denver to spend the time with Amber's family. But our flight got canceled because of snow!
Oregon, the part we live in anyway, is not used to this much snow and a lot of the air planes cannot get in or out of the airport.
So as of last night our plans changed...we are having Christmas here.....
We went out today and bought a little tree and did some grocery shopping. We much rather be in Denver where people know how to handle snow and having fun with cousins we hardly ever see! Boo hoo!
We are thankful that we have electricty and have a truck that has 4 wheel drive to get us arround a few places.
We do actually get another chance to fly out to Denver, but not until the weekend.
Here are some pics of the snow at our house.

Keros was outside trying knock snow off of branches and get snow off our trampolines. I know trampolines! How unsafe. We got them both for free. One has a net but it is not put up yet. Trampolines are the best way to run off little boys energy, too bad they are so covered up!
Here is a pic that Tate took from our front room-
