Random Day- Review

For all of those who read the post "My Favorite Day" (below)
I decided to write about how the day went.

Well the boys woke up and I told them about the plan for the day.
They thought it was great.
Isaac got to choose what we did first after breakfast.
He chose to play the board game "Amazing Labrinth"
Then Tate chose to watch TV- So that is when I got my shower.
After 2 hours of TV I said ok...that is enough and I asked Isaac to choose somehting else.
He wanted to go to the park....but we ate lunch first and I apologized and said let's go to the grocery store real quick becuase I need to get a few things before Sunday tommrow. I did tell them they could pick out a candy.....
They ended up being little monkeys at the store and I got a headache. (mainly because I took my glasses off before I went thinking I would put my contact in...but I got distracted)
So we came home and they ate a snack while I sat on the stairs with my glasses back on waiting for my headache to go away.
So then off we went to the park, it had been raining so I brought a towel to wipe off the slides and anything else that was wet......
The park was fun...really fun....I think that was my favorite part of the day.
We then came home and they wanted to ride thier bikes in the cul de sac.
Then daddy came home and pretty much they were good for the rest of the day.

In the end I decided it would have been more fun if daddy were here to help break it up a little bit. Sometimes my boys suck out all my energy and I need a break sooner than I think. ha ha

But I did enjoy moments of it and I won't be afraid to do another one in the future.

AWESOME! Sometimes I start projects with the kids thinking it will be such a great bonding time, memories, blah, blah, blah. And then I get all stressed and it's turns out poopy. But then sometimes I just randomly let them help me with something and we have a great time. I just never know how long my patience will last.

What a great idea...I think when your children feel like they have a say in the daily plans they are happier and behave better! I love reading your blog thoughts! I wish I could have another day to spend with you...we will soon ok! LOVE YOU!

I love your random days. I need to do one of those. I think I spend a lot of time trying to escape my children, instead of truly being with them. You are a great example.
